TERM OF SERVICES

Professional Financial Modeler (PFM) is Trademark of International Financial Modeling Institute, an online based institution that deliver PFM Certification Examination worldwide. PFM Certification program covers the field of the financial model, which deals with forecasting the future of financial condition pertaining to a company or project, preparing projection on company finances, equity and project valuation, feasibility analysis and risk analysis.

IFMI operates the www.professionalfinancialmodeler.org, an online website, therefore, operating for 24 hours. All materials and related information regarding PFM Certification Program is only made available in this website. The working hours of the website administrator is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM (GMT + 7). Should you have any question and having a problem with your registration and payment, please contact us by click here.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

Please read the following terms and conditions ("Agreement") carefully before using the sites. By using the sites, you signify your consent to this agreement and agree to abide by the terms and conditions. If you do not assent to this agreement, please do not use the site.

The policies below are applicable to the Websites located at www.professionalfinancialmodeler.org and any other Websites under the control of IFMI for PFM Certification Program and related subject. However the Websites are accessed and/or used, whether via personal computers, mobile devices, or otherwise, and other interactive features, applications (including mobile applications), or downloads that are operated by IFMI ( "we" and "us") that are made available by us. Please be advised that the practices described in this Privacy Policy apply only to information gathered online at our Websites. They do not apply to information that you may submit to us offline or to Websites maintained by other companies or organizations to which we may link.

You must abide by all copyright and trademark notices and restrictions. The Copy, reproduction, storage, transmission and any form of distribution of the material available on the website without the written permission of IFMI and it's affiliated and it will be considered a serious offense, except that you may download one machine-readable copy of the Site Materials for personal, non-commercial use.

In case of finding the material reproduced somewhere else, IFMI and respective institutions may take legal action against the individual or party which has used the information. You may not, without written permission, use any such marks or the IFMI and its affiliates” name, regarding any product or service that does not belong to us, nor in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among users about whether we create, provide, sponsor, or endorse the product or service, nor in any manner that disparages or discredits IFMI and its affiliates.

You can link to the home page of our website and respective institutions provided that the link does not cast us in a false or misleading light. To hyperlink to any other Page or site in any manner will require Prior written permission from IFMI. You may not use Meta tags or any other "hidden text" including the name of our website and/or respective institutions or Trademarks without prior written permission from us.

This Informational Site may contain links to other Web sites. This User Agreement and the Privacy Policy do not apply to these other Websites. Be sure to read the user agreements and privacy policies that govern your use of these other Websites.

IMPRUDENT CORRESPONDENCE

Candidates signing up using the Candidate account registered in IFMI website’s agreed that IFMI is not liable for any correspondence from email address(es) other than the ones followed by IFMI i.e. "...@professionalfinancialmodeler.org" or/and any call number that is not mentioned on IFMI website. IFMI should not be held responsible for any damage(s) caused by such correspondence. IFMI takes responsibility for any communication through email address(es) under our own domain name or/and via phone number i.e. already mentioned on our website.

LEGALIZATION OF DOCUMENTS

IFMI’s documents and credential that you earn from your participation in the PFM Certification program(s) should only be legalized/attested through this website under “Member Search” or by confirming directly via email to info@professionalfinancialmodeler.org.

All Certified Person whose account is active, have completed requirements and not being suspended is made searchable in the website in the “Member Search” Menu. Note that due to system limitation or error, some search on “Member Search” Menu may not deliver the intended results. You agree to indemnify IFMI and its representatives for such error or limitation.

All documents and/or credential earned from taking and/or passing the PFM Certification Program should only be legalized/attested through contacting via email to info@professionalfinancialmodeler.org

This policy is enforced to safeguard Candidates and Certified Person of PFM Certification programs from potentially unauthorized vendors of such services.

POSTING INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE

IFMI strictly prohibits transmission of any unlawful, threatening, obscene and otherwise offensive information posted on the website.

UNAUTHORIZED USE

It is unauthorized to use of the website and its contents or bypass any security measures. Any such activity is considered violation. Anybody caught in any such activity will be prosecuted under the charge of violating law.

SUBMISSION OF DATA

The data you have submitted to us will be safeguarded as per privacy policy statement. All personal information will be kept confidential and could be accessed only by the authorized party.

As a general matter, you can browse the Websites without submitting your personal information to us. However, there are some circumstances in which you may need to provide us with your personal information. The following lists the most common ways in which we collect your personal information:

When you interact with any PFM page or account on a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, or Pinterest, or when you use your social media account or credentials to log in to the Websites, we may also collect the personal information that you make available to us on that page or through that account, including your account ID or "handle."In addition, when you interact with the Websites, our servers may keep an activity log that does not identify you individually ("Non-Personal Information"). Generally, we collect the following categories of Non-Personal Information:

  • We may collect certain demographic data such as age, gender, and five-digit zip code as part of collecting personal information;

  • Verifying your account and account activities;

IFMI adheres to the highest standards of ethical practices in all our operations and is dedicated to protecting the privacy of all visitors to our Websites. Except as disclosed below, we don't sell, barter, give away, rent, or permit anyone outside the IFMI to use or access your personal information and in all cases, we only share your personal information where it is in the legitimate interest of PFM Certification Program.

We occasionally use independent contractors and third-party agents, affiliates, and partners to perform functions such as marketing, analytics, providing customer service, etc., on our behalf. These entities have access to the personal information needed to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of any personal information collected from the Websites. They are restricted from using, selling, distributing, or altering this data in any way other than to provide the requested services to IFMI

We may also occasionally share your personal information with our organizational and funding partners, grantees, or co-sponsors of our programs, activities, initiatives, and events from time to time. We endeavor to share your personal information only with partners, grantees, and co-sponsors who will respect your personal information. Although this Privacy Policy governs our treatment of your personal information, our partner or co-sponsors treatment of your personal information will be governed by the partner or co-sponsors privacy policy. You may withdraw your consent to our sharing of your personal information with partners and co-sponsors at any time by following the opt-out process described below.

We may also use or disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to applicable law or comply with legal process served on the Websites or us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property, the Websites, or our users; and (c) act under emergency circumstances to protect the personal safety of us, our affiliates, our agents, or the users of the Websites or the public.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on the PFM website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Websites administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on these sites or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may request us to delete any personal data we hold about you but this does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

IFMI strives to protect the transmission and storage of any information submitted by visitors to the Websites. However, no transmission and storage of data are completely secure, and submissions are at your sole risk.

These Websites may contain links to sites operated by third parties. Please be advised that the practices described in this Privacy Policy do not apply to information gathered through these other Websites.

Please remember that any information you share in public areas, such as comments, message boards or feedback sections, becomes public, and therefore this Privacy Policy does not apply to any information you choose to make public. Please be careful about what you disclose, and do not post any personal information that you expect to keep private.

IFMI use reasonable efforts to securely process all personal information and data, in particular, those related to the following requests:

  • Access to your personal information;
  • Correction of the personal information that we hold;
  • Deletion of your personal information;
  • A restriction of processing of your personal information;
  • Transfer of your personal information to another party; or
  • Objection to the processing of your personal information based on IFMI and PFM Certification Program legitimate interest (or those of a third party) to use it and there is something about your particular situation that causes you to object to such processing.

We hold your information and use it as described in this Privacy Policy and use reasonable measures to ensure that your personal information is only transferred to third parties who also maintain at least the standard of protection.

We reserve the right to modify or amend the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time without notice. Your continued use of our Websites following the posting of changes to this Privacy Policy will mean you accept those changes.

REFUND POLICY

In case of cancelation of PFM scheduled examination which you have registered to attend, IFMI allows you to request a refund in accordance with the following policy:

The following policy is applicable if you have paid full or partially in cash, bank transfer and/or credit card payment and committed to participate to complete the PFM Examination as scheduled. The process may take up to 30 working days after the cancelation notice is being issued and may take longer conditionally. The duration of refund may vary depending on the internal process and banking procedures. For credit card payment, upon receiving a refund, your credit card limit will be restored accordingly after credit card payment cancelation refund settled.

Note that the cancelation refund only applies when the cancelation decision is made by IFMI. You cannot request for refund due to any cancelation you make for any reason and you cannot request for refund if you fail to attend the examination for any reason.

In case of recurring or duplicate charging due to any processing error, you are required to submit request IFMI to immediately be refund for the full amount. IFMI will make review and all refund requests should be communicated to the support department. IFMI, based on the violation of your user agreement, reserves the right to approve/disapprove your request on an individual case by case basis.

All the Processing Fee relevant to the payment is non-refundable.

If for any eligible request for refund, s/he may request for refund by submitting written request to info@professionalfinancialmodeler.org explaining the reason of request of refund along with your bank account detail to receive the refund fee (as applicable).

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the IFMI and all affiliated entities, independent contractors, service providers and consultants, and their respective directors, employees and agents, from and against any claims, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including, but not limited to, reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Sites, the Services and any User Content you post, store or otherwise transmit on or through the Sites, the Services or your use of the Interactive Areas, including without limitation, any actual or threatened suit, demand or claim made against the IFMI and/or their affiliated entities, independent contractors, licensors, service providers, employees, directors or consultants, arising out of or relating to the User Content, your conduct, your violation of these Conditions of Use, or the Privacy Policy, as each may be amended from time to time, or your violation of any law(s), regulation(s), or the right(s) of any third party.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

You agree that in no event shall IFMI and affiliated institutions be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special and exemplary damages, or any damages whatsoever, arising from the use, misuse, (or inability to use) or performance of this web site or services provided or offered by any means, even if the IFMI has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

You agree that in no event, shall any liability to the IFMI and affiliated institutions as the result of the agreement, or other circumstances involving you and the IFMI and affiliated institutions, exceed the regular training fee which has been paid up to the time during which any claim deriving liability may arise.

You agree that you have checked diligently with local legislation in the Jurisdiction of residence and the intended Jurisdiction of use of the award that the possession and use of the private internationally accredited professional certification and accreditation with local legislation.

You agree that you are fully responsible for ascertaining whether or not course and/or professional certification examination program at IFMI and affiliated institutions, will meet any and all licensing, certification, and/or job requirements. That you are solely responsible for ascertaining whether or not the professional certification programs offered IFMI and affiliated institutions are acceptable where you intend to use it. You agree that you are fully responsible for ascertaining whether or not course and/or degree programs IFMI and affiliated institutions, will meet any and all licensing, certification, and/or job requirements.

You agree and assume the entire risk relating to the quality and performance of any items or services purchased within this web site.

The professional certification obtained from IFMI is in accordance with the Accreditation Institutes with which IFMI received accreditation. These standards do not necessarily coincide with requirements of any other Accreditation authorities not involved in the accreditation of IFMI (including, for example, those in Canada, Europe, South America, or otherwise). No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from the IFMI shall create any warranty not expressly stated in the terms of service.

MISCELLANEOUS

You agree that if any court of law, having the jurisdiction to decide on this matter, rules that any provision of these Terms is invalid, then that provision will be removed from the Terms without affecting the rest of the Terms. The remaining provisions of the Terms will continue to be valid and enforceable.

The Terms of service and the relationship between you and IFMI shall be governed by the laws of the country where the legal body of IFMI resides without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You and IFMI and affiliated institutions agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that residing country. Notwithstanding this, you agree that IFMI shall still be allowed to apply for injunctive remedies (or an equivalent type of urgent legal relief) in any jurisdiction.

INFORMATION OF CONSULTANTS AND AFFILIATES

Information shared by IFMI and affiliated institutions, candidates, guess, certified members, partner employers and consultants can be used by IFMI and affiliated institutions to be featured on IFMI and affiliated institutions website and print collateral in good spirit. However, in case the affiliation no longer exists or on special request, featured information will be removed from the website within 60 days and from print collaterals when the next printing batch of publications is scheduled.

NOTIFICATION OF THE CHANGES IN CONDITIONS OF USE

We reserve the right to alter or delete material from the Sites at any time and may in our sole discretion, at any time and without prior notice, modify the terms of this Conditions of Use agreement at any time. In case of changing our conditions of use, we will post those changes to this condition of use statement by updating this posting, any such modifications will only apply after we have posted the revised Conditions of use on this Site. Users are bound by any such revision and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the then current terms of this Agreement.

Note: Use of the stolen credit cards is strictly prohibited and is a serious crime. We work in close collaboration to fight cybercrime and make sure that all fraudulent orders are reported to the relevant authorities.
